ASSISTANCE SERVICES FOR FAMILIES AND OLD PEOPLE

HOME CARE SERVICE*DEPARTMENT

  • This department interferes on behalf of families, old people, sick and/or disabled people who face problems in order to help them in their everyday life.
     
  • The specificity of this department is to interfere on personal, collective, preventive and curative levels.
     
  • The social role of familiar aid is to enable people to stay at home and to maintain comfort and optimal life quality.
     
  • All the performed tasks participate in those people’s everyday well-being and involves various fields:
     
     - Everyday life support (household, ironing, meal preparing...)
     - Sanitary role
     - Relational support
     - Educational role
     - Administrative assistance
     
  • The Department closely collaborates with the sanitary contributors, who are all social and medical workers in the following municipalities: Durbuy, Erezée, Hotton, La Roche, Manhay, Marche, Rendeux and Tenneville.
    The cost per hour of familiar aid performances varies with income level, the number of people needing home care services and those people’s disablility degree.
     
  •   * Since January 1st, 2005 we have had 2 home care takers whose mission is to assist the beneficiaries needing a continuous presence at home (complementing family circle and home care services).
