CONSTITUTION :

The Municipal Council elects the nine members of the Public Centre for Community Action. Those nine members elect again a chairman from among themselves.
Furthermore every Public Centre for Community Action has a secretary, a tax collector and a community service.

ASSIGNMENTS :

- The Public Centre for Community Action is responsible for implementing the community assistance legislation with regards to the Social Integration Income (R.I.S.) Law as well as to the enforcement of the 1965 First Aid Payment Law.
Only the Community Service is empowered to process your aid requests.

- Should you meet administrative problems in fields such as old-age pension, mutual insurance company, direct contributions, miscellaneous social allowances, you can contact the Centre.
The social workers will be trying to find the most appropriate solution with you or they will be directing you to other competent departments if necessary.

- The Public Centre for Community Action also collaborates with home help services to give you the opportunity to live at home in spite of age difficulties or health problems (mother’s help, warm meals...).
The financial aid requests will be submitted for approval to the Community Assistance Board that meets once a month.
  • The Public Centre for Community Action assists population :
  1. R.I.S.(Social Integration Income), Adapted financial aid, Psychosocial assistance, Administrative counselling and information, Holiday playgrounds
  2. Mrs DESTREE, Mrs BOERENS, Mrs MAILLET, Mrs BRISBOIS.
    Assistance services for families and old people.
  3. Mrs BOERENS.
    Home delivered meals.
  4. Mrs BRISBOIS.
    Televigilence Service Samaritel.
