Waste collection

HOUSEHOULD WASTE COLLECTION

 
  • Three kinds of bags are at your disposal:
  • 20 L biodegradable green bags for collecting organic matter, i.e. compostable waste (sold in lots of 10-bag rolls, except at the RSI where you can get separate bags) :
    20 L green bags rates: 0.60 € per unit, i.e. 6 € per 10 bag roll.

  • 60 L grey bags for collecting the residual fraction, i.e. uncompostable and unrecyclable waste (sold in lots of 10-bag rolls, except at the RSI where you can get separate bags):
    60L grey bags rates: 0.75 € per unit, i.e. 7.5 € per 10 bag roll.
     
  • Free 30 L bags for collecting organic matter for children under 3 years of age (cliquez ici) (click here) and ONE child-minders. The maximum number of allowed bags is limited to 40. They are available at the Population Department.
    N.B. Diapers are part of the residual fraction and have to be dumped into a biodegradable green bag.
     
  • Free 60 L bags for collecting the residual fraction for incontinent people (or people with an incontinence pouch) presenting a attestation du médecin (medical certificate). These people can get 40 bags (instead of 20 previously).
  • TERMS:
- Possibility of buying 240 L transparent bags for 1 €/unit for plastic drinking cups only.

 Our waste sorting system aims at encouraging people to cut down on waste and use the container yard.

  • TAXES :

  • GUIDELINES :

- Since municipal bags are compulsory, any other bag or unsorted waste won't be.
- Waste has to be dumped before 7 a.m. on the collection day and after 6 P.M. on the day before the collection.
- Bags have to be dumped on the sidewalk so as not to hinder traffic.
- Bags mustn’t contain any sharp objects that could hurt the staff unless they are specifically wrapped.
- Uncollected bags have to be taken back in by 8 p.m.at the latest.

- It is forbidden to dump special or hazardous products into household rubbish as well as bulky waste, glasses, garden waste, carrions and unstained cardboard papers.
